The Super Special Show
ADDY, EFFIE, TELLY, THE D SHOW WINNER
With a budget 1/20th the size of the competition and a notoriously fickle 18-to-35-year-old male demographic, Del Taco came to us with a huge challenge. In order to get the attention of our target, we decided to meet them on their turf (social media) to give them hilarious sketch comedy webisodes created by two Del Taco employees. We called it The Del Taco Super Special Show. Late at night, employees Wes and Barry hijack Del Taco's social media to bring random, off-color, crudely art directed content to their masses of night owls. While the majority of the content was created for social, we used TV and radio to drive traffic to the webisodes.
We produced 9 webisodes and 50+ skits around each Del Taco food special. It was a Herculean job. A grip commented to our producer while shooting, "If this had 25 more pages it would be a movie."
